An object with immediate appeal, like the Disney character Dewey that inspired its name, this lamp has a thick base like a large duck's foot. Both playful and functional, Duii was created like a builder toy that could easily be taken apart and put together. The adjustable arm, made up of four metal elements held together by butterfly screws, is joined exactly like a piece of a "Meccano" set, the famous model construction system. The pressed glass and metal diffuser were inspired by the iconic shape of the headlights of classic cars. However, one can also see a worker's helmet or even the punk overtones of a shaved head with a Mohawk, like the Mohican that is Diesel's traditional symbol with its punk, rebellious personality.
