Lily Armchair

Arne Jacobsen first created the sleek, curvaceous Lily chair for Danmarks National Bank. Its characteristic wide shoulders and slim waist are striking examples of Jacobsen exploring and challenging the possibilities of veneer to create perfect curves and offer ultimate comfort.

Shell is made of pressure moulded veneer - eight layers of inner veneer and two outer veneers, in the front and in the back of the shell. The inner veneer is made from beech and the outer veneer is made from walnut. Base is made in chromed steel tubes. Each anniversary chair will feature a special tag mounted underneath the chair.
